Program’s Mission

​To prepare highly efficient and effective practitioners, leadership in the fields of midwifery, conducting scientific and research in the light of international quality standards and keep with the modern scientific and technical renaissance in the field of Community-based midwifery.

Educational Objectives

     

    1. Providing the public and private sectors with a well-trained and qualified applied midwifery sciences graduates.to provide quality maternity care.
    2. Utilize healthcare technology to improve maternity care and midwifery efficiency in provision of evidence-based care.
    3. Use effective communication skills to interact with women, families, and the interdisciplinary health care team. Provide appropriate health education and counseling.
    4. Demonstrate competently in dealing with various ethical issues related to women's health    in delivering safe, holistic, and quality maternity care
    5. Collaboration in maternity care in various health settings and participate in community services by implementing concepts and skills of leadership and management.
    6. Demonstrate professional development activities to maintain high professional standards of care and behavior.

    Knowledge and Understanding
    K1Identify the scientific background of basic medical and nursing and midwifery sciences.
    K2Differentiate between cases of normal and high-risk antenatal, natal and postnatal
    K3Describe etiology, health determinants, clinical picture, diagnosis, complications, and midwifery nursing management of common health problems affecting women and neonates' health.
    K4Identify the concepts and principles of leadership, management, health education, communication, research, and epidemiology.

    S1Interpret health information and data related to woman and neonates ' health problems. 
    S2Perform efficient and holistic care of woman' health with different health problems.
    S3Apply the nursing process as a purposeful and goal- directed guideline for quality culturally individualized centered care for women and neonates across lifespan.
