University of Bisha Holds a Dialogue Session to Enhance the Role of Department Heads in Educational Quality

The University of Bisha, with the attendance of University President Prof. Mohammed bin Mohsen Safhi, university vice presidents, deans of colleges, supporting deanships, and a number of faculty members, organized a dialogue session as part of the “Quality Forum” initiative. The session focused on the pivotal role of department heads in ensuring the quality of the educational process and enhancing academic performance.The session covered several key topics, primarily the importance of assigning tasks to faculty members based on their specializations and interests, which strengthens the efficiency of academic programs and contributes effectively to achieving academic accreditation. Additionally, it highlighted the leadership roles of department heads in organizing the educational process, addressing challenges, and fostering collaboration among faculty members, which ensures the smooth and distinguished operation of academic work.Participants emphasized the importance of department heads being fully aware of their responsibilities and recognizing their essential role in creating an academic environment that fosters creativity and innovation. They noted that the department head serves as a key point of communication and integration among all academic parties, thus contributing to effective coordination within the department and with other entities.The session concluded by reaffirming the need to strengthen the leadership roles of department heads and enhance their contributions to improving educational quality, in line with the University of Bisha’s goals for academic excellence.​
