The University of Bisha, through its distinguished research laboratories, has been awarded three research grants as part of the "Reactivation and Development of Existing Research Laboratories (RRG)" initiative presented by the Research, Development, and Innovation Authority.
University President Prof. Dr. Mohammed bin Mohsen Safhi participated in the award ceremony of the Research Laboratories Support Program and its accompanying exhibition, organized by the authority in Riyadh on Wednesday evening, March 27, 2024, with the participation of 86 research laboratories from various Saudi universities.
During the event, it was announced that three research proposals from the University of Bisha won grants, including: The Smart Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) Research Centre, the Nanotechnology Center at the University of Bisha (UBNTC), and the Translational Medicine Research Lab at the College of Applied Medical Sciences.
The ceremony also witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between the University of Bisha and the Research, Development, and Innovation Authority, aimed at enhancing partnership in the fields of scientific research, development, and innovation, in alignment with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals.
Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al-Qahtani from the University of Bisha was honored at the event for receiving a research grant from King's College London, one of the world's most prestigious universities, in recognition of his achievements in scientific research.
