Participation of the College of Engineering in the Empowerment Program

With the aim of developing the capabilities of the students of the College of Engineering at Bishah University in the intellectual, cultural and skill fields during the second semester of the academic year 1437/1438 AH and within the activities of the program. "On 21/7/1438 A.H., the College of Engineering presented a training course in the computer lab at the College of Engineering entitled "Professional Project Management PMP® and its applications in our practical life", presented by Dr. Al-Khawad Ali Al-Fakki, Associate Professor at the College of Engineering, on 21/7/1438 A.H. The course was generously sponsored by the Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Khalid bin Ali Abouhassel, and was attended by students of the fifth and sixth levels of the Departments of Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering.

College of Engineering welcomes new students and honors outstanding students

Under the patronage of His Excellency the Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Khalid bin Ali Abu Hassal, the College of Engineering organized on Sunday, 6/6/1438, a reception ceremony for new students and honoring the outstanding students, where the ceremony started with a recitation from the Book of Allah, followed by a welcoming speech by His Excellency the Dean of the College to his students. At the beginning, he welcomed the new students and urged them to focus on scientific achievement, developing skills and acquiring knowledge, stressing that the college and all its affiliates and cadres realize the magnitude of the responsibility placed on them in graduating qualified cadres capable of effectively contributing to the desired national transformation and reaching the realization of the Kingdom's Vision 2030. Therefore, the college is striving to make a qualitative leap in the College of Engineering by introducing new scientific majors in the college for the next academic year, developing academic programs and obtaining the international American academic accreditation ABET, as well as providing the finest laboratories and equipment, which will greatly contribute to developing students' practical skills and achieving a close link between the theoretical and applied aspect of engineering sciences, and the Dean of the College stressed the need for students to abide by university regulations and discipline in school attendance in an effort to reach a disciplined educational environment that is a model to be exemplary and referred to At the end of his speech, His Excellency the Dean of the College thanked the Deanship of the College of Applied Medical Sciences for supervising the implementation of some medical examinations (weight, sugar, and blood pressure) for the students during this ceremony. College of Engineering wins first global patent registered in the United States

His Excellency the Director of Bisha University, Prof. Dr. Ahmed bin Hamed Naqadi, received in his private office in the university campus the international invention certificate obtained by His Excellency Dr. Khalid bin Ali Abu Hasel, a faculty member in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Dean of the College of Engineering from the United States of America, No. 9,446,973, dated 9/20/2016. His Excellency the Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Khalid bin Ali Abu Hasel, gave a detailed explanation of his scientific innovation to His Excellency the Director of the University. For his part, His Excellency the Director of the University praised the creative cognitive achievement of His Excellency Dr. Khalid bin Ali Abu Hasel, as it is the first scientific innovation registered globally for Bisha University. His Excellency also noted that this innovation is in line with the efforts of Saudi universities in achieving the Kingdom's Vision 2030. His Excellency the Director of the University urged all faculty members to exert more efforts in order to contribute effectively to achieving the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and serving the people of this country. The invention of His Excellency Dr. Khalid bin Ali Abu Hasel is summarized in the invention of a smart purification system to purify highly saline water that cannot be purified by current technologies and use it to produce gold and heavy metals instead of fresh water. This invention will reduce the cost of producing these precious metals. It is noteworthy that Dr. Khalid bin Ali Abu Hasel obtained a bachelor's, master's and doctorate degree from the United States of America and has many patents and scientific research published in prestigious international scientific journals. At the end of the meeting, His Excellency the University Director extended his sincere thanks to His Excellency Dr. Khalid bin Ali Abu Hasel for his creative scientific efforts that introduced Bisha University to the world of global inventions. His Excellency confirmed that Dr. Khalid bin Ali Abu Hasel will be honored so that his name will be among the first names that will decorate the honor board that is planned to be established at the university soon

College of Engineering Student Council holds its first meeting for the academic year 1437-1438

Following the generous approval of His Excellency the UQU President Prof. Ahmed bin Hamed Naqadi on the establishment of the Student Council at the College of Engineering, the Student Council at the College of Engineering held its first meeting under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Khalid bin Ali Abu Hasel, Dean of the College of Engineering. Training engineering students in the local market

In the keenness of the College of Engineering to link its outputs with the local market and with unlimited support and great care from His Excellency the Dean of the College, Dr. Khalid bin Ali Abu Hassal, the fifth level students from the Department of Civil Engineering at the College of Engineering carried out a distinguished training program from 3 to 6 Rabi'II 1438 with Al-Qahtani Block and Ready Mixed Concrete Factory, where the students were introduced to the production line of ready mix concrete and the basic components of ready mix concrete and also carried out a set of tests and experiments to measure the quality of concrete and its components, and on the closing day of the program On the final day of the program, His Excellency Dr. Khalid bin Ali Abu Hassal, Dean of the College of Engineering, honored the students of the college with a field visit to review the implementation of the training program. He was met by His Excellency the General Manager of the factory, Obaid bin Mubarak Al-Qahtani, who expressed his great pleasure with this distinguished program and confirmed that Al-Qahtani Foundation in all its sectors is ready to provide the necessary training free of charge to the college students out of its belief in the need to provide everything possible to serve the people of the country and acquire practical skills that benefit all members of society. For his part, Dr. Khalid bin Ali Abu Hassal thanked the factory manager for his interest and fruitful cooperation, and highly appreciated the welcome and great preparation for the training program by the factory staff, which was felt by the students during the training period, after which His Excellency the General Manager of the factory, Obaid bin Mubarak Al-Qahtani, took the Dean of the College and his accompanying delegation and the students on a field visit to the factory and its various departments. His Excellency the Dean of the College was accompanied by the Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, Dr. Khalafallah Muhammad Adam, and the training program coordinator, Dr. Saleh Omar Bamqa.

University of Bisha Enhances Sustainability Path by Signing Cooperation Agreement with "Ecoryx" for Carbon Management

University of Bisha has signed a memorandum of understanding with Ecoryx, a company specializing in environmental sustainability solutions and carbon emissions management. This step aims to enhance the university's partnerships with the private sector and support national directions towards sustainability and the transition to a low-carbon economy. The memorandum was signed on behalf of the university by the Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Khaled bin Ayed Badie Al Harthy , representing His Excellency the University President, Professor Dr. Mohammed bin Mohsen Safehi. The company was represented by the General Manager, Mr. Malik Al-Shahrani. The memorandum of understanding aims to expand joint cooperation areas in environmental sustainability, calculation and management of carbon footprint, environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG), in addition to cooperation in scientific research and innovation, organizing lectures, evaluating specialized training programs and workshops. This will contribute to transferring knowledge and practical expertise to the university environment. The Dean of the College of Engineering confirmed that signing this memorandum comes within the university's keenness to align its academic and research programs with pressing global issues, foremost among them climate change and sustainability. He pointed out that cooperation with a specialized company like Ecoryx will contribute to qualifying students and graduates, providing them with advanced practical skills in carbon management and environmental impact assessment. For its part, Ecoryx expressed its happiness with this partnership, confirming its aspiration to implement joint projects and initiatives, support educational initiatives, and contribute to achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 related to environmental sustainability and the circular economy. This memorandum comes within the university's efforts to enhance its strategic partnerships with specialized entities locally and internationally, which enhances its position in serving the community, supports its journey toward academic and research excellence, and contributes to preparing national competencies capable of facing future challenges in sustainability, technology and the environment.
